GROVI is pronounced "groovy" and stands for "Geometry Research, Outreach and Visualization Initiative". This initiative will be developing visualizations and illustrations of mathematical objects intimately related to the research activities of our RTG group, to better inform our research, to help our research activities reach a broad cross-section of society, and to foster a culture of high quality visual communication in geometry and topology. We will work collaboratively with members of the UGA arts community, and we are supported in part by the UGA Arts Collaborative, an interdisciplinary initiative for advanced research in the arts. http://arts-collab.uga.edu. Here are some images produced by the Math Outreach Design Lab, a course for undergraduate and graduate students taught collaboratively by David Gay and Moon Jung Jang, involving art, math and math education.
